NOTICE OF VACANCY ON BOARD OF EDUCATION The Monroe County Board of Education is currently seeking a permanent resident of Monroe County residing in the Western District to fill the recently vacated seat of Sabrina Stutts to be held until June 30, 2026. Letters of interest must be received on or before 3:00 pm on March 28, 2025. Those letters shall be sent by mail to Board President Candace Sabol, Monroe County Schools, PO Box 330, Union, WV 24983 or by email candace.sabol@k12.wv.us Eligibility requirements for county board members can be found in WV Code 18-5-1a.

We were notified by Department of Highways that Cooks Run Road is currently closed. Parents can meet bus 221 at James Monroe at 3:30pm or meet at the old Greenville School at 4:00pm.
