PES had 5 students with perfect attendance for the year! Congrats to Zaiden Craft, Wyatt Ferguson, Allie Thompson, Walker Helvey, and Bronson Parker on their excellent attendance.


Avery Miller was named 3rd Grader of the year at PES by Monroe County Education Association! Congrats Avery!


PES third graders had a book camp out for their “field trip”. They built forts, had s’mores, and every student left with new books. They spent their day reading by the fake smart board fire and finding a new world to explore in a book.

What do you want to be when you grow up? PES asked their students that question today. Students dressed for their future career. Looks like they have some bright futures ahead!










Congrats to Mrs. Broyles who is featured as The Virginian Leader’s teacher of the month. Mrs. Broyles is a teacher at Peterstown Elementary School. She very dedicated to her students and her love for teaching shines through everyday. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication, Mrs. Broyles.

Parents and youth join us tonight for the Steered Straight Parent Academy at James Monroe High School at 5pm. Enjoy a very atypical presentation on the dangers of drugs, fentanyl, e-cigarette devices, alcohol, bullying, and suicide. Enjoy complimentary childcare during the event, exciting giveaways, delicious refreshments, and valuable insights to enhance your knowledge on these growing issues as well as how vaping can affect the brain and body.


PES students visited the 4th grade Living Wax Museum today! Fourth grade students did an excellent job. Come out to see it on Thursday, April 25th from 5-6 at PES.











Mrs. Stamper read The Legend of Rock Paper Scissors with PES 2nd graders and then they had an epic class rock paper scissors battle!








PES watched the eclipse with our awesome safety eclipse glasses. Students loved seeing it.




Q is for quilt! Mr. Hazelwood, Kindergarten teacher at PES had a quilt made of his class.





Batman came to PES today and talked to students about 4 rules to live by:
1) never give up
2) always do the right thing
3) help other people
4) never be a bully
