Reminder. Mountain View Middle School Soccer will have two flex practices next Tuesday and Wednesday. August 5th and 6th at 4-5:30 pm. @Mountain View Middle School sports field.

The following Monday, August 11th, will begin mandatory practices.

Students must bring physicals and have shin guards and preferably cleats to get a full feel for the field and get the most out of practice.

Mountain View Summer School took a trip to Pipestem to explore nature. Students learned about birds, snakes, butterflies, among others.  They also learned about how some animals will adapt their camouflage to warn predators. They participated in a nature scavenger hunt, enjoyed lunch, and a snack.

Congratulations to Cheyenne Jones and Cole Fogus for their 4th-place finish in Research Learning Challenges and to Rileigh Jackson for her 5th-place finish in Exploring Non-Core Subject Teaching Careers. Cheyenne was also recognized at the closing ceremony as a member of the Educator Rising Honor Society.

Students not only competed but also attended various workshops, all sessions with keynote speakers, and visited college tables and vendors.
