Summer School registration is still open! Please ask your child's teacher for a packet and return before May 31st. The Summer School dates are from June 26th to July 28th at their home school. We look forward to seeing you there!

7th and 8th graders channeled their inner child today with worms and sidewalk chalk all in the name of education!  7th grade reviewed math skills with sidewalk chalk and 8th grade dissected worms.  Fun and learning were had by all!

Members of MCTC’s JROTC Maverick Battalion spent this week in the Wilmington NC area. They toured the USS North Carolina battleship, Fort Fisher, the NC Aquarium and more. The cadets had fundraised since October to fund their educational tour.

The Monroe County Board of Education hosted the annual Monroe County Art Show from March 20th-April 18th, at the Monroe County Board of Education, in Union, WV. There were over 60 entries from our schools which included drawings, paintings, sculptures, and mixed media exhibits. Our Art teachers are to be commended for their role in assisting our students craft and inspire their talents. A special thank you to Dr. Joetta Basile, and the Board Members of Monroe County Schools, for sponsoring this event and being a patron of the Arts.
