5th grade students at PMS had a wonderful time at the Wytheville Community Center.
”If you don’t know what it is, stay away!” Preschoolers learned all about poison prevention in a fun and interactive way.
The 8th grade students at Peterstown Middle want to thank the sponsors who helped make their 8th grade trip to Carowinds a reality this year- (please note the phone number for Sugar Mountain is a 540 number, not 304)
After spending a day dissecting frogs in 8th grade, the students were happy that frog legs were not the menu item for lunch. Just kidding! They had a great time learning some science today (and the nachos were awesome too!)

Six trees were planted today by PES students and teachers to mark the first year of the opening of their new school.
Summer School registration is still open! Please ask your child's teacher for a packet and return before May 31st. The Summer School dates are from June 26th to July 28th at their home school. We look forward to seeing you there!
Even as the school year winds down, learning continues in Mr. Hancock’s Biomedical Science classes at MCTC. Students are constructing nervous systems.
Last night PES Kindergarten students, first graders, and second graders had their musical performance. Mrs. Altice and the students worked very hard and did a wonderful job!

MCTC JROTC Instructor MSG Mike Wiley was presented the WV PBS Above and Beyond Award. The recognition honors outstanding educators who work tirelessly to provide meaningful educational experiences not only in the classroom and during school hours, but in creative and engaging opportunities in a variety of settings. 7th and 8th graders channeled their inner child today with worms and sidewalk chalk all in the name of education! 7th grade reviewed math skills with sidewalk chalk and 8th grade dissected worms. Fun and learning were had by all!
Senior Trip to Busch Gardens!
Members of MCTC’s JROTC Maverick Battalion spent this week in the Wilmington NC area. They toured the USS North Carolina battleship, Fort Fisher, the NC Aquarium and more. The cadets had fundraised since October to fund their educational tour.
