The golf team won 🥇 their 4th match today, beating the closest challenger, Princeton Middle, by 13 strokes. The team has finished third, first, first, first, second and first in their six matches to date.


Mountain View golfers Josh Drew, Maddie Baker, and Luke Fullen shot the low score at the EGMS 3-person scramble at the Lewisburg Elks club on 4/24/24.

Parents and youth join us tonight for the Steered Straight Parent Academy at James Monroe High School at 5pm. Enjoy a very atypical presentation on the dangers of drugs, fentanyl, e-cigarette devices, alcohol, bullying, and suicide. Enjoy complimentary childcare during the event, exciting giveaways, delicious refreshments, and valuable insights to enhance your knowledge on these growing issues as well as how vaping can affect the brain and body.


The second annual James Monroe High School (JMHS) Student Government MoCo Car Show and Flea Market will occur on Sunday 28 April 2024 from 1-5PM in the JMHS parking lot. It will be free to the public for viewing with concessions!
The car show will have the following nine categories for all participants who wish to enter: Modern Car (2000-Present), Modern Truck (2000-Present), Classic Car (1999 and Older), Classic Truck (1999 and Older), Most Unique Build, Community's Choice, Best Interior, and Best Rust Bucket! All who wish to participate in the car show must pay a $20 entry fee to be placed into the competition, and the winners will be given trophies!
The flea market will set up on the perimeter of the JMHS parking lot. Tables cost $20 and set up will begin at noon.
The car show and flea market are scheduled from 1-5pm at JMHS on Sunday, 28 April, so come on down for games, food, and fun!!!


On Friday, April 12th Monroe County FFA Stockman's teams traveled to WVU Jackson's Mill to the 34th Annual WV Beef Expo. Monroe County had two teams compete in the annual WV Stockman's Contest. Team A, consisting of Emma Ballard, Mckinley Reese, Jairus Broyles, and Josh Meadows took 6th place overall and Emma Ballard placed first overall! This is the 5th consecutive year that Emma has taken home this honor! Team B consisted of Mackenzie Wade, Meghan Richardson, and Mackenzie Richardson. This team placed 30th overall. (Quite an accomplishment with three team members, as all four scores of a team are counted) There were over 50 senior teams registered at this event. If you see any of these fine young folks out and about be sure to congratulate them on a job well done!
Coaches for the teams were, William Hill, Michell Boone (FFA Advisors), and Michelle Ballard (Parent Volunteer)

PES students visited the 4th grade Living Wax Museum today! Fourth grade students did an excellent job. Come out to see it on Thursday, April 25th from 5-6 at PES.
