Monroe County Schools held a Mock Active Shooter Drill at Mountain View School today. The drill was extremely beneficial for ensuring emergency procedures are in place if needed. Following the drill there was a debriefing session to highlight the pros and areas of improvement. We would like to thank the faculty and staff throughout the county for participating in the drill. Johnathan McPherson organized the drill in collaboration with Monroe County 911, Monroe County Sheriff's Department and Union Vol. Fire Department along with special guests Tommy Williams, Capitol Resource Officer and Jonah Adkins, WVDE Safety Director. We appreciate their support and participation in this event.

The Greenbrier Valley Channel has graciously agreed to give 60% off all streaming sales back to JMHS. Please spread the word to friends and family who can't make it to the games to tune in to the new platform being used by the Greenbrier Valley Channel. Here is the link that will allow you to stream Friday night's game against Wheeling Central. The game will be one of the best AA games in the state on Friday night and the 6 pm start time will precede many other games scheduled on Friday night. If you can't make it to the game, click on this link, create an account, and follow all of James Monroe Athletics for the entire 24-25 season for only $7.99 per game. Let's all support our student-athletes at JMHS! " Link: https://webca.st/253657

Reminder: If your child is in 7/12 grade they must have proof of their required immunizations. If you aren't sure, call your nurse or check the student portal. Any student with emergency medication must have new 24-25 year orders and medication at school to keep them safe and therefore are required to have that today.
